The Course
Located 20 minutes south of Wollongong, Calderwood Valley is an 18 hole, par 70 golf course. Set amidst 30 hectares of rural farmland and native plant species, the breathtaking surrounds feature the rugged Illawarra escarpment as a backdrop. The course is always immaculately presented with well contoured fairways and true greens.
We are a locally owned and operated business. Under the direction of golf course architects McKay and Sons we built the course ourselves. Whenever we needed a break during the three hard years of construction, we’d go down to the tranquil clear creek and have a picnic lunch on what was to become the 6th hole on our future course.
There are 18 beautiful holes, but the 6th is our favourite. It’s not the toughest hole but definitely the most picturesque. We have a resident Wallaby and Noel Smithers has his ashes resting there.
